Merlion Pipes and Drums is an independent pipe band established since 1998. Under the leadership of Pipe Major Yvonne Tan, it has a team of 18 Singapore based bagpipers, drummers and Highland dancers.

The band’s mission is to promote the public appreciation of playing pipes and drums through performance, competition and ceremonies. The band dress in grand traditional Scottish costumes with Ancient MacPherson tartan, performs traditional and modern Scottish bagpipe music tailor to suit any occasions.
